How to Install WordPress Using cPanel + Softaculous

- Go to your hosting account and log in to cPanel.
- You’ll see the dashboard with sections like Files, Databases, Domains, Software, etc.
Step 2: Open Softaculous
- Scroll to the Software section in cPanel.
- Click on Softaculous Apps Installer.
- You’ll see a list of scripts; click WordPress.
Step 3: Start the Installation
- Click Install Now.
- Choose Protocol & Domain: Select
http://orhttps://and the domain/subdomain where you want WordPress installed. - Directory: Leave blank if you want it in the main domain (e.g.,
yourdomain.com).
Step 4: Enter Site Settings
- Site Name: Your website’s name.
- Site Description: Short tagline (editable later).
- Admin Username: Avoid “admin” for security.
- Admin Password: Use a strong password.
- Admin Email: Enter a valid email you check frequently.
Step 5: Optional Settings
- Database Name: Auto-generated is fine.
- Select Language: Choose your preferred site language.
- Limit Login Attempts / Auto-Upgrade: Optional but recommended for security.
Step 6: Install WordPress
- Click Install.
- Softaculous will set up your WordPress site in under 1–2 minutes.
Step 7: Log in to Your New WordPress Site
- Once installed, Softaculous will show your Admin URL, like:
https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin
- Log in using the admin username and password you just created.

- Choose a theme under Appearance → Themes.
- Install essential plugins (security, backups, SEO) under Plugins → Add New.
- Start creating content with Pages → Add New or Posts → Add New.
